Biography: Grandmaster Raúl Sanhueza

It's been more than thirty years since Grandmaster Raúl Sanhueza started his career in Martial Arts. Being just a little boy of 7 years he used to dedicate 6 days of the week to practicing and perfecting his skills in Kenpo Karate. Thanks to hard work, determination and dedication Raúl became the youngest Black Belt in his home country of Chile at the age of 13.
In 1985, when Ed Parker came to Chile to take part in a seminar, 15 year old Raúl got a chance to do an exhibition in front of "the Father of Kenpo Karate". In the same year he received the title of National Champion by winning the National Tournament of Martial Arts. Later this great achievement was followed by his Kenpo Karate exhibition on TV and taking first place in many other national and Pan-American competitions and championships.
In 1999 after many years of not only practicing, but also teaching Kenpo and a few other arts, a Martial Art system of his own was born. MuayKenSan combined in itself the knowledge and great passion for Martial Arts which Grandmaster Sanhueza achieved by that time. The first school teaching MuayKenSan was opened in Chile in 2001. And by the end of 2006 five more schools in the North of Chile opened their doors to the students willing to learn the new system of the Grandmaster. These schools are run by the right hand and "martial arts brother" of Grandmaster Sanhueza, Raimundo Nuñez Pereira, who is 2nd Dan Black Belt in MuayKenSan.
In chile Kevin Lee Sanhueza Llop, Grandmaster Raul Sanhueza`s son, start to teach at the station central dojo.
